Almost Spritual

This series is an exploration of new mediums fused with my foundation in photography, retouching, and digital painting. Each image is an intensified interpretation of moments of peace, celebration, and challenge I have observed my loved ones move through over the past year, forming a visual anthology of the subtle experiences I recognize as spiritual occurrences.
To allow these works to exist cohesively within my broader fine art practice, I trained a custom AI model on my own visual language and executed all generations locally. Each piece began as a rough compositional sketch, establishing gesture, structure, and direction, and was then developed over multiple days of detailed refinement. No image emerged from a single generation; each was shaped through sustained adjustment, correction, and intentional finishing for large format presentation.
While some view AI as a departure from authorship, I approach it as an extension of it. A tool that removes material and social limitations and opens space for imagination to move freely, guided by intention and discernment rather than constraint.
