Coup D’Etat, shot in collaboration with Maida Ghide, was a campaign for Italian designer Theodora Bak. The project was executed in a guerrilla style at the Palace of Versailles, a location where formal permits are required and rarely granted. Acting simultaneously as photographer, subject, and art director, we moved with urgency and intention, capturing the entire campaign in under twenty minutes.

That constraint became part of the work’s energy. The images carry the tension of the moment and the audacity of their setting. Since their release, the photographs have gone viral repeatedly, evolving into staple visual references within Afro punk and futurist culture.
